Meet The Founder

Hi There! I'm Maia Johnson the founder of MJ Website Design & SEO+.

Website design has provided me the opportunity to combine a creative outlet with a passion. Growing up I lived in a variety of locations, though, most notable Chicago, IL, Evansville, WI, and near the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. I eventually made Janesville, WI my home.

My mother's family is from Chicago, IL and My father comes from a long line of farmers from Wisconsin. They went their separate ways when I was a baby. So now half my heart belongs to the city and the other half belongs to the country.

My mother was a union iron worker in downtown Chicago for years, then discovered her true passion for IT. She landed a pretty incredible opportunity to work with the air force, which, lead us to Colorado. The mountains will always take my breath away. Literally!

My Father milked cows when I was younger and then worked for a local HVAC company where he found his passion for business. He opened his own HVAC company and did really well for a few years, but then had to close up shop during the recession. He went on to get his engineering degree and does incredibly well for himself today!

I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by hard working men and women. The kind that put their blood, sweat, and tears into their passions and, most importantly, providing for their families. My goal is to take some of that weight and help strengthen our community by guiding local businesses through the digital landscape that is our world today. When you succeed, we all succeed!
